The classical why post…

So why did I decide to start blogging, well if I am very honest, mainly for myself. To help myself work through problems I currently have, as I seem otherwise incapable (at least partially) to express the problems and thoughts I keep crammed inside. To also keep track of thoughts, ideas and maybe also progress as I try to not only work through things but also try new things in the hope of finding some form of everyday happiness. And in the best case I might have the one or other things that helps anyone who ever reads this, if anyone ever does, as I try tips from Gretchen Rubin’s “The Happiness Project”, Hal Elrod’s “The Miracle Morning” or the Dalai Lama’s “The Art of Happiness” in my own personal happiness project.

It’s not only a form of documenting the things I try, but also keeping myself accountable and maybe to actually stick to something. I tend to have so many things I want to do and, in the end, just feel so overwhelmed that I end up doing nothing…

So in the spirit of accountability I will name things I will try to do on this site and the amount of time I have for said thing, and at the end write a post to the things I have learnt.

Starting of with a recommendation from my therapist, this weekend I will be reading Alice Miller’s “The Drama of the Gifted Child”…
